the artist

kathleen royster has been creating art in the sweltering hot city of san antonio, tx all her life.
she is a multi-media artist currently focused on hand-cut felt artworks and analog paper collage work. she also makes handpainted polymer clay earrings/home goods and is always eager to explore a new medium. kathleen is proud to create slow-made objects with meticulous care and attention to detail, 100% by hand. kathleen started her business-- primarily focused on paper collage prints and clay earrings-- and began vending at local pop-up markets in 2021.

she named her one girl operation "glo0sticker studio," a play on the words "glue stick" to credit the adhesive which best holds her work together.

kathleen's favorite part of art-making is using the act of creation to reflect on, deflect from, and/or process the world around her. experimenting with enticing color combinations and sharing them with the world is a close second. through glo0sticker, kathleen intends to help folks cast gusts of color and whimsy into their spaces. her objects wish to be a noisy response to the world of mind-numbing corporate gray.

when the artist is away from her studio, she is busy being bossed around by a suspiciously energetic five-year-old leo child. or she might be at the thrift store looking for vintage books with hypnotizing illustrations. or if it's a certain time, she could be ordering noodles and milk tea from the local thai spot.
